Perry Como
The Songs I Love

" . . . one of the great TV traditions."

It’s a rare album cover that can win immediate identification without the picture of the artist on it, but the TV set pictured on the cover of this album is as familiar to millions of Americans as their own living rooms. It is, of course, the set used by Perry Como for that very special moment on his show when the clowning and the dancing stop and Mr. C. settles back on his stool and sings The Songs I Love.

This is the moment that has established one of the few great traditions in television.

Here, in this album, we have attempted to capture the essence of the moment, the music and the tradition. It is Perry Como’s favorite time — we hope it will always be yours.
