Perry came to Nashville after having not recorded for almost two years and he laid down the tracks for this entire album within four days. The recording methodology and the Nashville environment was entirely different from what Perry had been used to in New York but under the direction of Chet Atkins and Anita Kerr these first recordings stand out as a remarkable achievement. |
