~ Chronological Notes:
Three
songs included within the 1977 compilation "Where You're
Concerned" (
RCA AFL1-2641
) are designated as not being
produced by Roncom Music: "You Light Up My Life" and
"Feelings" and "When I Need You" all of which were
apparently recorded in Hollywood, California. Two other songs were
recorded under similar circumstances but not released: "Marie"
and "That's What Friends Are For" about which there is no
additional information other than their respective serial numbers.
Interestingly, the Burt Bacharach / Carole Bayer Sager song "That's
What Friends Are For" was not published until 1982/85, several years
after Perry's first recording of this title. Perry recorded the
Bacharach/Sager song in 1987at Evergreen
Studios, Burbank, California,
for his last RCA Victor record album "Perry Como Today" ( BMG
6368-1-R STEREO 1987 ). Song Notes: ~ introduced by Kasey Cisyk, dubbing for Didi Conn, in the motion picture "You Light Up My Life" and winner of Academy Award. Popularized by Debbie Boone, daughter of Pat Boone, with platinum recording and # 1 single of the year. |
