Perry often recorded songs between Christmas and New Year's Day and
December, 1959, was no exception. This song was recorded on the same
day as a song which turned out to be one of Perry's most novel hits, a song
punning the names of American "states" which oddly proved to be more popular
in England than anywhere else. Along with "Delaware", he recorded the flip side
of the single, "I Know What God Is", and two other songs which were never released.
