Note: Ray Charles himself, sometimes
referred to as "the other Ray Charles", to
distinguish him from the popular American gospel/soul/blues
singer/composer, joins Perry in an un-credited duet on "Kewpie
Doll". He did this one other time with Perry in his 1959 recording of
"To Know You ( Is To Love You )" for the album "Como
Swings". Ray Charles was Perry's choral director for records and
television for more than forty years. The Ray Charles Singers have been
featured on the majority of Perry's New York studio recordings and they
also appeared with him on television.
