Happy Together
Two unverified recordings by Perry out
of New York including "Happy Together" and a New York
version of "That's What This Old World Needs" which was recorded
two months later in Nashville and released two years later within Perry's
1969 compilation "Seattle". Also recorded on this same date was a
remake of "Happiness Comes, Happiness Goes", recorded earlier in
1965, and this song, too, was held over for the 1969 compilation. It has not
been confirmed whether "Happy Together" was actually recorded by
Perry but the song turned out to be a No. 1 Gold Record for "The
Turtles" in 1967 and was revived ten years later by the Canadian a
cappella quartet "The Nylons".| Lyrics | CD-Finder | Alphabetical 'NR' List | Chronological 'NR' List | |
