WARNING: All tracks are reported to be in real stereo excepting as marked. Disappointingly,
sources are reported to be less than optimum with at least two monaural
tracks which should have been released in true stereo. It is important to
note that 24 Bit Mastering will not make tape copies sound like originals.
Digital manipulation and frequency blending does not make a poor quality
source sound better nor is such practice a substitute for the competent
mixing and mastering of original first generation session tapes. Japanese sources are
generally reasonable quality original release masters but not first
generation tapes. This compilation is eclectic, the sequencing peculiar, both
technically and artistically, but there are a number of songs released
here not commonly available on compact disc. Unfortunately, all indicators
suggest that this compilation does not meet the standard one should expect
even from Japan. Some may find the inclusion of traditional
hymns, described as "Perry Como Sings Love Songs", to be of
questionable taste.
NOTE: Even the cover art
used for this compilation is low-grade. The actual cover art is reproduced
below whereas the cover above is simulated. High international
prices should not be confused with quality. Please bookmark this page for
