Songwriter born in New York City on May 27, 1915, deceased in 1966.  Wise co-composed more than thirty songs for Elvis Presley, one of which was "Don't Ask Me Why" introduced in the 1958 Hollywood Musical "King Creole" recorded several years earlier by Perry but never released. One of his more memorable songs "A ~ You're Adorable" was recorded by Perry in 1949 with The Fontane Sisters and Mitchell Ayres' Orchestra, and a No. 1 charted hit for Perry.
