Composer Joseph Meyer was born March 12, 1894, Modesto, California, and died June 22, 1987, New York City. While he was actively composing throughout the 1920's and well into the 1940's, his greatest successes came during the 1920's era.

Joseph Meyer died after a long illness on June 1987, at the age of 93. He is a member of The Songwriters' Hall of Fame.
