| DeSylva, Brown and Henderson were together for just seven years, during which time the percentage of their songs achieving hit status was quite phenomenal. They arrived on Broadway at the height of the Roaring Twenties and stayed on top until going their separate ways at the end of 1931. George Gard "Buddy" DeSylva was born in New York on January 27, 1895, Lew Brown in Odessa, Russia on December 10, 1893 and Ray Henderson in Buffalo, NY on December 1, 1896. |
